Professional Violist in Colorado
Fluent in alto clef. Plays well with others.
If you need a classically trained OG violist to fill a seat, I'd love to hear from you! I'm available for orchestral subbing, pit, chamber music, weddings, and more along the Colorado Front Range.
Viola: the art of being essential without being obvious.
I studied viola performance under scholarship at the University of Northern Colorado with Dr. Juliet White-Smith, and I’m currently continuing my studies with Basil Vendryes, Principal Violist of the Colorado Symphony and Professor of Viola at the Lamont School of Music. I believe we should never stop learning!
My viola was handcrafted by Rock Eggan, a luthier in Denver, CO whose work deserves far more recognition. This is paired with a stunning and responsive Sebastian Dirr Gold Model Bow that offers warmth, resonance, and clarity in my playing.
Notes around town
Principal Violist - The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra
I’ve been Principal Violist of the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra since 2021. Recent performances have included a wide range of repertoire, from Strauss’s Till Eulenspiegel and Hindemith’s Horn Concerto to Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony and the Star Wars Suite by John Williams.
I also regularly perform chamber music with various groups.
Section Violist - Symphony of the Rockies
I am a member of the newly professional Symphony of the Rockies Orchestra (formerly the Arapahoe Philharmonic). As a section violist in this orchestra I am occasionally asked to step into the Assistant Principal seat as needed. Recent repertoire has included Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninoff Symphonic Dances, , and a special collaboration with film composer George T. Clinton.
Assistant Principal Violist & Executive Director - Lakewood Symphony
I am the Assistant Principal Violist with the Lakewood Symphony. In 2024, I stepped into the role of Executive Director. What started as a behind-the-scenes volunteer effort quickly grew into a deeper commitment to helping the orchestra thrive. Now I get to combine my love of music with my passion for organizing, connecting, and making things happen, on stage and off.
Colorado Orchestral & Gig Viola Sub - Front Range
I’m on the sub list for several orchestras and ensembles along the Front Range, and I love stepping in to fill a viola seat, whether it’s in a community orchestra, a professional symphony, a pit orchestra, or a chamber group.
As needed, I am also able to gig, coach, or sub on Violin.
Colorado Violin & Viola Teacher
I offer private lessons in my home studio in Ken Caryl, CO for violin and viola students of all ages. Lessons are offered at:
30 minutes: $40

Additionally, I am a regular weekly and bi-weekly violin and viola coach at schools in the Jefferson and Littleton County School districts, including:
- Bear Creek High School

I serve as a substitute orchestra teacher at St. Mary’s Academy and have coached for the Front Range Youth Symphony, Jefferson County All-County Orchestra, Littleton Public Schools Festival Orchestra, and the Littleton Youth Symphony among others.

Some call it teaching. I call it orchestrating potential.
